PASSIVE ARRAY RADAR COMMUNICATION ANTENNA
Free Space has developed a passive antenna array designed specifically for space debris detection applications.
The array features a hexagonal geometry composed of 19 slotted-patch antennas uniformly spaced at 500 mm, ensuring optimized spatial sampling and coverage.
To enable enhanced signal discrimination and versatility in detection capabilities, the system is equipped with two identical feeding structures that provide dual circular polarization support.
This dual-polarization configuration is particularly effective for detecting and characterizing objects in orbit, offering improved sensitivity to variations in orientation and material properties of the debris.
