ELECTROMAGNETIC IMPACT EVALUATION FOR CIVIL AND MILITARY ENVIRONMENT
We provide the evaluation of the electromagnetic field levels in complex environment by means of the EMpact tool and commercial software in order to cover all the frequency bands. This capability is particular important in civil scenarios where an even more increasing attention is due to the exposure of population and workers to the electromagnetic field.
EMpact employs advanced high-frequency theories (GO, G/UTD, PO) integrated into a fully 3D ray-tracing algorithm to analyze electromagnetic propagation in complex civil environments.
EMpact can perform simulations in both indoor and outdoor scenarios on EM sources operating from low to high frequency bands to assess population and occupational exposure.
It also includes a dedicated solver based on the fully 3D Biot-Savart Law to calculate magnetic induction from overhead and underground power lines at 50/60 Hz.
We can provide measurements from 50 Hz up to 40 GHz with specific instruments.
EMpact is a valuable tool for designers, supporting all phases from early conceptual development to final acceptance tests of ships and aircraft.
Modern military platforms are increasingly complex, hosting numerous antennas and sensors.
EMPACT enables comprehensive analyses, including RADHAZ evaluations to assess electromagnetic risks to personnel and equipment, and radiated interference analysis to ensure EMC and minimize EMI among onboard systems.

EMpact enables comprehensive onboard EMC/EMI analysis and risk assessment, particularly for RADHAZ (Radio Frequency Hazards) evaluations. Accurate assessment of electromagnetic field levels is essential for:
EMpact computes electromagnetic fields in both near and far field regions of sources such as antennas, providing critical data for safe and efficient operations.
Starting from standalone antenna characteristics, EMpact evaluates installed antenna performance within operational scenarios on both ships and aircraft, accounting for the presence of topside or airframe structures (e.g., masts or fuselage). It quickly computes radiation patterns, gain, shadowed regions, and other parameters for multiple antenna positions, helping to identify the best trade-off between spatial constraints and performance.
EMpact also includes a dedicated module for Radar Cross Section (RCS) evaluation, applicable during both preliminary and final design phases of naval and aeronautical platforms. Using CAD models, the tool calculates RCS considering both platform geometry and material properties.
We offer measurement services on complex military platforms for RADHAZ compliance, as well as RCS evaluation and reduction.
